AT SOUTH ALABAMA
JUNIOR SEASON (2009): Competed in 16 matches, starting seven…Recorded 36 kills and averaged 1.09 kills per set…Also had 17 block assists and averaged 0.52 blocks per set…Saw her time on the court increase towards the end of the season…In the final four matches of the year, she averaged 4.75 kills per match…Had matches of four kills or more six times during the season…She posted a career-high six kills against Troy (11/6)…Also had a career-high five block assists against the Trojans...Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008): Saw action in two matches for South Alabama…Finished with two kills and one dig against Spring Hill (9/3)…Also saw time on the court at Louisiana-Monroe (10/12)…Named to the Sun Belt Conference Commissioner’s List.

ST. CLAIR COMMUNITY COLLEGE: Competed for NJCAA Division II St. Clair CC in Port Huron, Mich...Ranked fifth on the team in blocks and kills for the Skippers...Played in 22 matches at SCCC...Averaged 8.0 blocks and 8.0 kills per match.

ST. CLAIR SECONDARY SCHOOL: Lettered five years in volleyball at St. Clair Secondary School...Averaged 14 kills per match, two aces per match and four blocks per match...Also lettered four years each in basketball, badminton and track & field during her prep career...Member of both a volleyball and basketball city and regional championship team at St. Clair...Was a long jumper, triple jumper and a member of the 4X100 meter relay team for the Colt track team...Played club ball for both Twin Bridges and the SC4 Skippers...Helped Twin Bridges finish fourth at the OVAs in 2005.

PERSONAL: Jaclyn Elaine Nickels...Has one older brother and one younger brother...Brother Robert runs track at the University of Tulsa...Hobbies include playing a variety of sports, shopping and first aid training...Hopes to get into
Med School after graduation and eventually do a residency in Forensic Pathology...She is trying to get the University of South Alabama Response squad started back up...Was a member of the Student Emergency Response Team back at the University of Western Ontario...Favorite books are the Harry Potter series or anything written by Patricia Cornwall...Favorite foods are ribs and chicken wings...Favorite professional sports team is the Detroit Tigers...Majoring in Biomedical Science.
