SOPHOMORE SEASON (2008): Started 23 of the 25 matches in which she competed as a sophomore…Ranked second on the club in kills (225) and kills per set (2.45), while tying for second in service aces with 20…Also posted 63 digs and 51 total blocks…Had 14 matches of double digit kill totals…Posted a season-high 16 kills at Florida Atlantic (9/27)…Hit a season-best .579 in the return match in Mobile against the Owls on Oct. 19 (13 kills, two errors on 19 attempts)…Had four service aces against both Southeastern Louisiana (8/30) and Central Michigan (9/5)…Posted a career-high eight block assists in a 3-1 victory at North Texas on Oct. 24…Selected to the all-tournament team at the Jaguar Classic (Sept. 19-20)...Named to the Sun Belt Conference Academic Honor Roll.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2007): Posted a very strong freshman season, leading the team in kills (323), kills per game (3.20) and service aces (35)...Recorded 16 double-digit kill tallies in 2007, including a season high 24 against Samford (9/8) at the DePaul Invitational...Also had 20-plus kill performances at Florida Atlantic (22) on Sept. 28 and against Troy (23) on Oct. 27...Best hitting percentage came against Alabama State (9/1) in Mobile where she hit .688...Had four service aces four times during the season, coming against the Hornets, Louisiana-Lafayette (10/6), Florida Atlantic (11/9) and Florida International (11/10)...Also recorded 83 digs, four block solos and 31 block assists during her freshman season...Was selected as the recipient of the Aurelia Crowell Award (for Most Outstanding Freshman based on Athletics and Academics) at South Alabama…Selected to the SBC Commissioner’s.  

AT 51 SOU ELISAVETA BAGRIANA: Attended 51 SOU Elisaveta Bagriana...Has played club ball the last five seasons for Levski, her club team in Bulgaria...She was a two-year starter for Levski...Along with fellow Jag teammate, Maria Kashavelova, Markova helped Levski to a third place finish at the 2005 nationals and then a runner-up finish in 2006...Was also a member of the Bulgarian Junior National Team’s expanded roster.
