Toni Dimitrov begins his first season at USA after joining the Jaguar volleyball staff as a graduate assistant coach during the summer of 2010. He will work primarily with the setters.
Prior to arriving at South Alabama, Dimitrov served as the head men’s coach for SCV ‘Kaliakra’ of the High League back in Bulgaria. During his coaching career, Dimitrov has worked with many different program’s and age levels in his home country of Bulgaria, scouting and helping develop players. He has also served as an assistant men’s coach for the CSKA Professional team.
As a player, Dimitrov was a member of three national championship teams for VC Levski, while also winning several individual awards.
