In August, 2012, Paul McCormack joined the South Alabama volleyball coaching staff and will serve as a graduate assistant coach.

McCormack should be familiar with Jaguar head coach Amy Hendrichovsky as he comes to USA after spending the previous two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Middle Tennessee.  While in Murfreesboro, the Blue Raiders made two NCAA tournament appearances and compiled a 50-18 overall record, while capturing both the SBC regular season and tournament titles in 2010 and runner up finishes a season ago.

McCormack has also spent the previous five years working with a variety of club teams in the Nashville, Tenn., area, along with working camps at Penn State during the summer.  He has also spent time working clinics with Olympic Gold Medalist Pat Powers.  

As a player, McCormack played at both the outside hitter and setter positions for Middle Tennessee’s club team.  During his career, he was club president and team captain for two seasons.  While at MTSU, he helped the Blue Raiders advance to the National Collegiate Club tournament.

McCormack earned his bachelor of science in recording industry, music business from Middle Tennessee in December 2010 with a minor in entrepreneurship.
