Nicole Keshock

South Alabama volleyball head coach Nicole Keshock enters her eighth season at USA in 2010.  For the third-straight year, the Jaguar finished with 11 victories, marking the first time South Alabama has recorded back-to-back-to-back double-digit win tallies since the 1990-1992 seasons.

The 2008 season was marked by a couple of highlights for Keshock.  On Sept. 3, 2008, Keshock reached a coaching milestone, picking up the 100th win of her career with a 3-0 victory over cross-town rival Spring Hill.  She also guided the Jaguars to their first Sun Belt Conference tournament appearance in eight years that same season where they nearly pulled off the upset before falling 3-1 to top-seeded and tournament host Florida International.

Prior to taking the helm at USA, Keshock started the Division II volleyball program at the University of West Florida. Along with being head volleyball coach for three seasons at UWF, she also served as the Senior Woman Administrator and began the West Florida Storm Club Volleyball Program.

Keshock started her coaching career at Division III Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio, from 1994-96. She was also an assistant softball coach and physical education instructor. From 1996-98, she was the head volleyball coach at the University of Findlay (Ohio). She also served as an assistant track coach and taught physical education for the Division III program. Prior to accepting the UWF position, Keshock was an assistant volleyball coach at Eastern Michigan in 1998-99.

A four-year volleyball letterwinner at Bowling Green State University (1990-93), Keshock led the Falcons to a pair of Mid-American Conference Championships and a berth to the 1991 NCAA Tournament. She established a tournament record for most blocks in the National Invitational Volleyball Championships.

While at BGSU, she earned an undergraduate degree in communications (1994) and a master’s in sport administration (1997). Keshock is a native of Lake Milton, Ohio. She is married to Chris Keshock, a professor at USA.  The couple has two children, daughter Kayla Joy and son Cameron.
