SARALAND HIGH SCHOOL
Lettered and started four seasons at Saraland High School in Saraland, Ala., under head coach Dana Mason … During her four year prep career, she recorded 1,181 kills, 515 digs, 186 blocks and 152 aces for the Spartans, while also maintaining a 4.0 grade-point average … Ended her career as both the single-season and career kills leader at SHS … Was selected as the team’s offensive player of the year for Saraland her final two seasons … Earned honorable mention all-state honors three times during her prep career; 6A honors as a senior and 5A honors during both her junior and sophomore seasons … Helped Saraland advance to the championship match of the South Super Regional as a senior, before falling to second-ranked Pelham … Registered 474 kills, 118 blocks, 165 digs and 41 aces during her final prep season … Also recorded 19 double-figure kill matches that same season and was selected to both the Mary Montgomery and Clarke County all-tournament teams … Helped Saraland reach the quarterfinal round of the state tournament for the first time as a sophomore … Played at the club level for the Mobile Storm based in Mobile, Ala. … Was also a standout for the Saraland softball team for four seasons, garnering Alabama Sports Writers Association 5A all-state honors as a pitcher in 2014 … Finished 15-3 in the circle and allowed just 14 earned runs in her 109.2 innings pitched … Had 142 strikeouts and hit .533 … Earned honorable mention honors on the Press Register Coastal Alabama all-region team that same season … Helped Saraland make the program’s second state tournament appearance in softball as a junior and also pick up both its second area and regional championships … During her sophomore season, she recorded 30 strikeouts in a 13-inning game against Theodore, which ranks as fourth-most in a single game in the AHSAA record books … Lettered in track as a senior and qualified for the state meet in the long jump … Chose South Alabama after also being recruited by Florida Gulf Coast, Stetson, Boston College and Charleston Southern.
