2014-15: 17-9 singles record overall, 12-6 in dual matches… 1-1 at No. 2, 3-0 at No. 3, 8-5 at No. 4… Put together season-best five-match win streak in March and April, rallying from first-set losses to begin and end the streak, including 1-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory over Vanessa Nommensen of No. 47 Tulane… Won four straight matches in the fall—all in straight sets—advancing to round of 16 at USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships… Went 2-0 at Sun Belt Conference Championships at No. 4 flight, taking both in three sets… 17-7 doubles record overall, 14-2 in dual matches… 14-2 at No. 2… Opened spring season with 11 consecutive victories, teaming with Emily Newton and Mary Angela Martin… Blanked opponents from Incarnate Word and Kennesaw State during 11-match streak… Played key role in helping the Jaguars get the crucial doubles point 4-3 wins in semifinals and finals of Sun Belt Championships… Clinched doubles point with 8-5 victory over Texas-Arlington.

2013-14: 7-15 overall record, 3-11 in dual matches… 3-11 at No. 1… Won first three matches of the fall campaign to claim Flight Four title at UNLV Invitational, rallying from a first-set loss to reach the finals… Defeated Hailey Rochin of Northern Arizona 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 and Gisela Cairo Baza of Southern Illinois 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 before dispatching Long Beach State’s Laura Eales in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, to win the crown… Picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory at USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships vs. Carita Moolman of Samford… 13-9 overall doubles record, 7-7 in dual matches… 6-5 at No. 1, 1-2 at No. 2… Second Team All-Sun Belt with Emily Newton… Meszarosova and Newton went 6-5 at No. 1, winning five of their first six outings… The duo went 3-0 to take Flight 1 title at Samford Fall Invitational… Won three straight in February, defeating teams from Central Florida, Bethune-Cookman and Samford… Reached finals of UNLV Invitational with Laura Valkova with 9-8 and 8-5 victories, before falling in the finals to a team from North Texas.

2012-13: 11-13 overall record, 11-13 in dual matches… 4-10 at No. 1, 6-3 at No. 2, 1-0 at No. 3… Started career with five-match win streak, claiming first four matches in three sets… Rallied from first-set loss to defeat Barbora Vykydalova of No. 56 North Texas 1-6, 6-3, 6-4… Anchored top of Jaguars’ lineup in final 10 matches of the season… Went 7-2 in three-set matches, earning wins in her first seven… Posted 4-3 mark against Sun Belt schools… 15-8 overall doubles record, 15-8 in dual matches… 14-7 at No. 1, 1-1 at No. 2… Teamed up with Emily Newton to go 14-7 at No. 1 spot… Put together six-match win streak during March with Newton and Cinta Maria Papke… Lost no more than two games in final four matches of unbeaten streak… Claimed wins in first three match of the season, including 8-6 win over team from No. 56 North Texas… Posted two whitewashings, one each with Newton and Papke.

Personal: Full name is Michaela Meszarosova… Born March 2, 1993… Daughter of Milan Meszaros and Lubomira Meszarosova… Has older brother Milan Meszaros… Lists hobbies as swimming, reading books and traveling by plane… Favorites – movie: “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”; book: “The Way of Life”; pro sports team: Miami Heat; athlete: Michael Phelps; musical artist: Pink; food: salads; class: math… General likes are dogs, books, TV and hanging out with friends… General dislikes are fake people … To get pumped up for a match she listens to music… Prematch rituals include listening to music and trying to stay positive before the match and not getting nervous… Chose South Alabama because of the tennis program, her scholarship and the language… She is most thankful for the opportunity to study at South Alabama and play tennis and to travel… In five years, would like to have a job, and in 10 years, would like to have a family… Three wishes would be to be happy and healthy, to graduate and to have a good job.
