A four-year letterwinner for the South Alabama men’s tennis program, Gerhard Gruindelingh is in his second season as an assistant coach.
Gruindelingh compiled a 60-50 overall singles record in four seasons, including a 44-37 mark in dual matches playing primarily at Nos. 3 and 4.
He was a two-time all-Sun Belt Conference honoree in doubles, earning second-team honors with Manuel Belda in 2014, and first-team laurels with Daniel Leitner a year later.
His partnership with Leitner resulted in a 12-3 mark at No. 1 and a 17-5 record overall. Gruindelingh went 4-4 at No. 1 with Belda and posted a 15-8 overall doubles record.
