Prior to USA (University of Mobile) 2006: Started 17 of the 18 games that she competed in and helped the Rams finish with a 14-6 record...recorded two goals and four assist as a junior...one of her two goals came against then eighth-ranked Covenant College (10/14) that tied the game with 30 seconds left in regulation...Mobile eventually came back to win the contest 4-3 in double overtime...was an all-GCAC second team selection.  2005: Started 11 games for the Lady Rams...helped Mobile finish with a 12-5-1 record and second straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championship...scored one goal and had four assists. 2004: Played in all 16 games and made 15 starts for the Rams... scored 12 goals and dished out three assists...led Mobile to a 12-3-1 finish and the regular season Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championship as a freshman...named to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference First Team

Prep: Graduated from Kopervik High School in Kopervik, Norway in 2004...in addition to soccer, competed in team handball and volleyball. 

Club: Played on an all-male team for 11 seasons with the Kopervik Ill...also played for the Norwegian National Team (U-17)...Regional Player of the Year (1999-2000)...won the bronze award at the Norway Cup in 1998...won the District Championship playing with Kopervik IL (1998-2001).

Personal: Full name is Sunniva Haaland...she was born in Kopervik, Norway...nicknamed “Sunny”...has two brothers and two sisters...hobbies include beach volleyball, photography and snowboarding...favorite movie is “The Illusionist”...favorite book is A Long Way Down...favorite professional sports team is Manchester United...favorite foods are tacos and a Norwegian Christmas dinners.
