2008: Appeared in 19 games with 10 starts... had one game-winning goal (10/24- Louisiana-Monroe) and one assist (10/26 - Louisiana-Lafayette) on the season... attempted seven shots on goal.
2007: Was always the first player off the bench playing in 18 games and starting in three on the year in the midfield...tallied two points on the year with two assists , which came against Middle Tennessee (10/5) and Nicholls State (9/21).
2006: Played in 18 games, starting 16...scored a game-winning goal against Arkansas State (9/24), while also recording an assist in the game...tallied two assists on the season...recorded 17 shots, with six on goal...named to the Port City Classic All-Tournament team.
2005: Played in 14 games and started six as a freshman...was a key figure in the Jags’ run to the conference championship game on the defensive end...had 13 shots on goal...she helped lead the defense to allowing just 17 goals on the season, the fewest in school history.
Prep: Lettered in soccer at St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School in Brampton, Ontario...named MVP for soccer for two years and led the Cardinals to two regional championships, with an appearances at OFSAA...also played basketball, flag football and volleyball during her prep career...in league play, won Ontario Cup and Nike Cup with Burlington in 2000 and participated in Nike World Cup in Oregon...played club soccer for the Rexdale Elites for three years ...played on U-15 Provincial team.
Personal: Full name is Cortney Sunshine Stewart...has one older sister, Tiffanie, who was a senior on the USA women’s soccer team last season...enjoys soccer, music and reading.
