Maiya Rawlinson enters her first season as the Director of Operations for South Alabama Women's Basketball.
Rawlinson comes to Mobile after spending last season as the Director of Operations for women’s basketball at Holy Cross.
Prior to her stint at Holy Cross, Rawlinson served as an assistant coach for the girls’ varsity team at Friends’ Central School in Wynnewood, Pa.
Rawlinson also worked as an intern for Basketball Operations and Community Events for the Delaware Blue Coats, where she assisted with the execution of all community engagement events, while also organizing camps and training sessions.
Rawlinson also has coaching experience, as she was a youth basketball coach for the Jr. 76ers in Wilmington, Del., where she was responsible for evaluating player knowledge, skills and strengths, as well as helping with team assignments and directing practice sessions.
Her other basketball stops include head basketball coach of the Girls South Jersey Buckets, assistant coach at West Catholic Preparatory High School in Philadelphia and the Director of Basketball Operations of DPS Success Society in Pitman, N.J.
Rawlinson played one year of collegiate basketball at Georgian Court University in Lakewood Township, N.J.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Exercise Science, Health Promotion and Wellness Movement in August 2020 and has a Master’s of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University.
