Shaforia Kines enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach and her sixth with the program overall. Prior to coaching Kines spent four seasons as a guard for the Jaguars. Kines started in a total of 127 games from 2016-2020. In her senior season, Kines was selected to the all-Sun Belt team. During that season she also joined the 1,000 point club with a career total of 1,313.Â
In her junior season Kines ranked second in steals with 40. As a sophomore, she finished fourth in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.6) and eighth in assists (116) in the Sun Belt. As a freshman Kines ranked third among her teammates in three-point field goal percentage at 28.6%.Â
Kines graduated from South Alabama in 2020 with a degree in leisure studies.Â
