Ka’Vonne Towns

Ka’Vonne Towns enters her first season as an assistant coach at South Alabama. 

Towns joined the program from UAH where she served as an assistant coach last season under Andrea Lemmond. Prior to that, she served three years as the Director of Operations on the women’s basketball staff at Chattanooga after serving as the Director of Student-Athlete Development in 2017. 

She was a 2015 Southern Conference all-tournament selection during her playing days, while helping the Mocs to four straight SoCon regular season and tournament titles, and four appearances in the NCAA Tournament. She was moved to point guard during her senior season where she started 31 of 33 games. Towns ranks 10th all-time in UTC history for games played (125) over four years, and closed out her career with 682 points, scoring 291 during her senior season, and had 340 career rebounds. She also dished out 177 assists, with 77 of those during her senior season, and had 162 steals.
