After four years at South Alabama as a student-athlete, Juan Troglia joined the men’s tennis coaching staff in 2016 as an assistant coach.
Troglia, a Mendoza, Argentina native, helped the Jaguars reached the Sun Belt Conference Tournament Finals in the last three years of his playing career. He was named to the conference singles second-team as a senior after he went 9-8 in dual matches on courts 2-4. He won five matches in a row – all in straight sets – and his last three victories came after losing the opening frame.
In his four-year career at South Alabama, Troglia compiled a 46-45 overall record and posted a 32-30 mark in dual matches in singles. He also went 37-33 overall in doubles and 28-24 in dual matches.
