Summer 2014: Finished tied for 15th in qualifying for the U.S. Amateur Championship after carding a 69 in the first of two rounds ... Posted a 70 in the second round of both the Dogwood Invitational and Western Amateur.

2013-14: The Sun Belt Conference Golfer of the Year and a first-team all-league selection ... Ranked second on the team and third in the SBC with a 72.74 stroke average ... Finished in the top 10 in seven tournaments and had nine top-20 results, carding a score of par or better in 20 rounds ... Had a 54-hole total below par on five occasions while posting eight rounds in the 60s ... Was the league’s golfer of the month in September after recording two top-three finishes, six rounds of par or lower and a 69.17 stroke average in two tournaments during the opening month of the campaign ... Led the Georgia Amateur Championship after two rounds, going on to tie for third place with a 72-hole 3-under-par 285 total ... Fired a 4-under-par 68 on the second day of the tournament, playing in the final group over the weekend.

2011-12: The only newcomer to play in all 11 events, ranked fourth on the team and 25th in the Sun Belt Conference with an average of 74.60 shots per round ... Shot par or better in six rounds and posted a pair of top-20 results ... Amateur Highlights: After the conclusion of his high school season, Garretson recorded four consecutive top-20 finishes over the summer at junior events in 2010 ... Shot 74, 74, 73 to finish 16th out of 72 individuals at the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Junior at Steelwood presented by AT&T, and two weeks later used a 54-hole score of 216 to come in ninth place in a field of 142 at the Georgia Junior Championship ... After shooting a 73 in each of the first two rounds, he fired a 70 on the final day of the tournament ... Came in 13th place at the Burgett H. Mooney Jr. Rome Classic the following week, opening with another 70 en route to posting a 217 total ...
