Summer 2007: Competed in the Iowa Masters’ carding rounds of 80, 73 and 72...participated as an amateur at the Waterloo Open shooting rounds of 74, 74 and 73.

2006-2007: Competed in 21 rounds and seven tournaments competing as a redshirt-sophomore...best finish was at the Sun Belt Conference Championships finishing in 49th place...finished the season with a 79.1 stroke average...recorded a low round of the year (74) at the Palisades Golf Classic in Charlotte, North Carolina.

2005-2006: Participated in 12 rounds during redshirt-freshman year...best finish was 53rd at the USA Spring Golf Classic (Mar. 13-14) at Heron Lakes Country Club in Mobile...finished the fall with a 79.6 stroke average and a low round of 77.

2004-2005: Redshirted for the season.

Amateur Highlights: Finished 2nd at the 2004 Waterloo Open.

High School Highlights: Lettered in golf for four seasons at Hudson High School in Hudson, Iowa... during his career for the Pirate, Swomley was a three-time individual conference champion and runner-up one time... four-time all-state selection in golf... also lettered three seasons in basketball... as a senior earned second team all-conference honors.

Personal: Has two younger sisters... favorite movies are We Were Soldiers and Hoosiers... favorite team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers... favorite golfers are Tom Lehman and Zach Johnson... selected USA over Kansas, Kansas State, and Southern Illinois.
