As A Redshirt Freshman (2010): Played and started in all 10 outings ... Seventh on the team with 24 stops ... Tied for second with five tackles for loss and three sacks ... Made a season-best four tackles in victories over UC Davis and Arkansas-Monticello, with two stops behind the line of scrimmage including a sack for a loss of seven yards against the Aggies ... Credited with three unassisted stops in win over Nicholls State — one of those was a sack for a loss of six yards — and three total tackles in Lamar road victory ... As A Freshman (2009): Started every game at the strongside outside linebacker slot ... Ranked 10th on the squad with 19 total tackles, with 3½ of those coming behind the line of scrimmage ... Also credited with two sacks and a pass broken up ... Collected career-high five stops in Army Prep victory, tying for team-high honors in the category ... Had four tackles, including 2½ for loss with both his sacks on the season, in win over Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy ... Posted three stops against Louisburg (N.C.) J.C., and two each in wins over Hargrave (Va.) Military Academy, Georgia Military J.C. and Huntingdon (Ala.) College ... Only tackle in Milford (N.Y.) Academy victory was for a loss.

High School Highlights: Earned three letters at Cairo High, where he was chosen honorable mention all-state following his senior season ... A two-time first-team all-region and all-area selection ...
