As A Redshirt Freshman (2012): Appeared in all 13 games, starting the final seven at left tackle ... Selected by the Sun Belt Conference’s beat writers to the league’s All-Freshman Team ... Earned the coaches’ award on the offensive line a season-high-tying three times after being honored following contests against Louisiana-Monroe, Florida International and Louisiana-Lafayette.

As A Freshman (2011): Sat out the season while redshirting.

High School Highlights: Lettered all four years at Deshler High ... Was named all-state and all-area as a senior after helping the Tigers to a 12-2 finish as they advanced to the semifinals of the state 4A playoffs before falling to the eventual champions ... DHS also went 12-2 and reached the semifinals of the state playoffs his junior year, averaging better than 37 points per contest in the postseason as he was an all-area selection ...
