JAGUAR TRAINING CENTER
• The largest indoor practice facility in the state of Alabama.
• While the facility is primarily utilized by the Jaguar football team, it is also available for other athletic department and university functions.
• Located east of the existing football practice fields, the facility is 96,000 square feet.
• Houses a fully-covered regulation football field in addition to a 15-yard practice area for supplemental drills in order to provide an all-weather opportunity for practice.
• Highest point of 65 feet allows for all practice drills — with the exception of live punting — and has a 20-foot run off at the perimeter that provides adequate space to safely conduct other aspects of the team’s workouts
• Regulation goal posts included in each end zone.
• Film platforms in the north, south, and east sides with three separate areas on the east side.
• Equipped with scoreboards, play clocks, regulation goal post, restrooms, storage, LED Lighting, and athletic training space.
• The open-sided venue is built to allow for natural ventilation.
• The project is being funded through a combination of repurposed football operating funds and external funds.
