THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA SPORTS MEDICINE DEPARTMENT

VISION STATEMENT
Here at the University of South Alabama Sports Medicine Department, our primary vision is to provide our student-athletes with the proper injury prevention techniques, medical care and rehabilitation, along with student wellness. With a medical school and some of the finest healthcare facilities already a part of the University, the department maintains some of the best healthcare options available for our student-athletes.

MISSION STATEMENT
The University of South Alabama Sports Medicine department is dedicated to providing our student-athletes with the best quality of medical care while collaborating with our team physicians. Our team, comprised of the University of South Alabama's Health System, has played a central role in Mobile's medical history and today continues a long tradition of excellence in education, research, and medical care. Comprised of the USA Hospitals, and the private practice of academic physicians affiliated with the USA College of Medicine, the USA Health System provides patients with many innovative services. This partnership provides unique and vast resources to enable our student-athletes to utilize the medical community to succeed both athletically and academically.

One of the main athletic training facilities - located in the Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services Building (also home to Jaguar Gymnasium) - covers 2,730 square feet and offers a variety of therapeutic modalities and treatment rooms. The athletic training facility in the football fieldhouse covers 3,800 square feet including hydroworx plunge systems. Additional athletic training facilities are located at the Stanky Field Baseball Club House, the Mitchell Center, the Soccer/Softball complex, and The Track and Field facility.
