OXFORD, Miss. ? University of South Alabama women’s tennis player Katie Welch claimed the B flight singles consolation championship at the Ole Miss classic on Sunday. Welch defeated Paula Chelminska of ASU 6-3, 6-4.
Sylvanie Spangenberg and Michaela Babicova both fell in the semi finals of the singles flights, while Erica Krisan suffered a loss in the championship round of the A flight of the singles consolation round.
