CLINTON, Miss. - The University of South Alabama cross country teams travel to the Jackson State Invitational in Clinton, Miss., Friday. The women’s 5k at the Choctaw Trails begins at 4 p.m., while the men’s 8k will follow at 4:30 p.m.
Last weekend at the Bulldog Stampede, the women’s team finished in seventh place, while the defending Sun Belt Conference Champion men’s team finished sixth. Senior Clarisse Moh lead the Lady Jaguars by finishing 34th in Athens, Ga. The men were paced by junior Micah Tirop (third) and sophomore Antipah Sugut (fifth).
“We are looking forward to this week races with eight other schools. The competition will not be as tough as last week but we will see how far we are in training,” head coach Lee Evans noted.
