BOWLING GREEN, KY. ?The University of South Alabama men’s and women’s cross country teams travel to Keriakes Park for the Sun Belt Conference Championship in Bowling Green, Ky., hosted by Western Kentucky University.
The championship races will begin this Saturday at 10 a.m. with the men’s 5-mile race followed by the women’s 5K that will start at 11 a.m.
The Jaguar men’s team will try to defend their Sun Belt title this weekend, led by junior Micah Tirop. Both Tirop and Antipah Sugut, should contend for top honors this weekend. The Lady Jaguars are paced by senior Clarisse Moh, who's also the current Sun Belt runner week.
“Both of the teams are still in a rebuilding process and I look for a lot of individual winners” head coach Lee Evans said “The women's team should place well in the final standing, as well as the men”.
