LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The University of South Alabama women’s tennis team completed another sweep on Saturday at the UALR Fall Invitational. The Jaguars once again dominated the competition, winning all of their single and double matches, at the Burns Park Tennis Complex.
The Jaguars opened the morning with singles matches against host Arkansas Little-Rock. Junior, Adrianna Solarova starting the morning off defeating Jenna Hirdle, 6-3, 6-4. Sophomore, Michaela Babicova drew the second draw, winning against Outi Jarvinen, 7-6, 6-1. Dijana Stanic defeated Aleksandra Zakrzynska, 6-2, 6-2, and, Sylvanie Spangenberg triumphed over Rosario Negrete, 6-3, 6-3. Junior, Jelena Krivacevic rounded out the Jaguar victory winning in straight set against Hollie Robinson, 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles action, the Jaguars were led again by the tandem of Babicova and Stanic defeating Memphis netters Marjorie Ondeck and Alex Tjioe, 8-2. Spangenberg and Krivacevic also proved victorious, winning against Ekin Zafir and Dara Toulch, of Memphis, 8-2.
The final two Jaguar tandems were matched against the Lady Demons of Northwestern State. Spangenberg and Krivacevic defeated Daniela Posada and Catalina Villegas, 8-4, while the duo of Stanic and Babicova were victorious against Marine Neveu and Magali Van den Berg, 8-2.
