2005-06 (XC) Set personal bests in the 5K(14:47.76), 8K(24:16), and 10K(30:31.9)...had three top 10 finishes...placed 4th at the Sun Belt Championships...finished 30th at the NCAA South Regional Championships(31:43). (Indoor) Set personal bests at 800m (1:52.72, SBC Championships), 4:04.93 (Feb 4, Notre Dame), 3000m (8:30.76, MTSU), and 5000m (15:05.36, SBC Championships)...won SBC title with distance medley relay...finished third in four events (800m, mile, 3000m, 5000m)...ran lead-off on the school and SBC record-breaking DMR team (9:36.91, Notre Dame)...finished ninth with the DMR at the NCAA Championships. (Outdoor) Ran on the school record setting 4x800m and 4x1500m relay teams at Texas Relays...finished fifth in the 1500m (3:49.83) at the Texas Relays...ran a season's best 1:51.21 at the USA Invitational...sat out the SBC Championships due to injury.
2004-05: (XC) Was the only runner to beat teammate Tonny Okello in the regular season(Southern Miss Invitational 4-mile - 20:12.51)...had four 2nd place finishes...placed third at the Sun Belt Championships...was 23rd at NCAA South Regional(30:42.77). (Indoor) Scored in the 800m(3rd, 1:53.11-PB), mile(2nd, 4:15.98-PB), and 3000m(4th, 8:39.52-PB) at the SBC Championships...helped set the Sun Belt Conference and Championship record in winning the distance medley relay(9:57.24). (Outdoor) Won the 1500m(3:50.96) and finished 2nd in the 800m(1:52.39) at the SBC finale...ran a season's best in the 800m of 1:51.92 at the Jaguar Premier Invitational...qualified for the NCAA Regionals in the 800m and 1500m.
Pre-USA: Attended Kyambogo University in Kampala, Uganda ... was the 800 meter, 1,500 meter, and Cross Country champion at Kyambogo ... holds the school record at the 12K cross country distance ... participated in the World Student Games, which were held in Daegu, Korea, in 2003 ... also participated on the East African Youth team in 2003.
High School: Attended Bombo Secondary School in Luwero, Uganda ... ran for coach Benjamin Longrose ... was the 800 meter champion at the 2001 National High School Track Championship.
