JAGUAR WOMEN'S TENNIS IMPROVES TO 2-0 WITH 5-2 VICTORY OVER NO. 74 SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA Box Score
CONTACT: Kevin Beasley MOBILE, Ala. - The No. 31 University of South Alabama women's tennis team improved to 2-0 on the young season with a 5-2 victory over No. 74 Southeastern Louisiana (1-1) Saturday afternoon at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts. "It was a good win today for us in such extremely tough conditions," said South Alabama women's tennis head coach Jaco Keyser. "Southeastern Louisiana is a good team and they will win a lot of matches. We still gave a tremendous amout of work ahead of us, but it was good to gt the win today." For the second day in a row USA came out in the doubles portion of the match and made quick work, sweeping all three doubles matches. The Jag duos of Michaela Babicova/Adrianna Solarova (8-6) and Sylvanie Spanenberg/Maria Zivcicova and Dijana Stanic/Jelena Krivacevic each picking up an 8-3 victory. The duo of Spanenberg and Zivcicova upset SELA's 50th-ranked team of Emilija Arnaudovska/Iva Velkovska. The Jag women picked up straight set victories at the Nos. 3-6 positions to complete the win. South Alabama will next head to Boston, Mass to take on Boston University and Harvard University on Feb 9 and 11, respectively. Tennis Match Results
