KATRINA CANCELS SOUTHERN MISS. INVITATIONAL

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - The University of South Alabama cross country
teams were supposed to participate in the 2005 Southern Miss.
Invitational on Fri., Sept. 9, in Hattiesburg, Miss., but due to Hurricane
Katrina, the meet has been cancelled. No make-up date has been scheduled
at this time according to USM officials, but there is the possibility
that the event will be rescheduled at a later date.

The Jaguar men's and women's cross country team will begin the season
at home with the 2005 Azalea City Classic on Sept. 17.
