MARTIN, Tenn. ? The University of South Alabama women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 heartbreaker in double overtime to Murray State in the final game of the 2005 Puma Skyhawk Invitational. The Jaguars fall to 1-2 on the year, while Murray State improves to 1-5.
"We are just not putting a complete game together right now," Jaguar head coach Mike Varga said. It will be good to get back home and play on our own turf next weekend."
The game opened with the Racers taking the early lead in the 33rd minute as Kara Carlile found the back of the net with an assist from Lauren Falls. The game remained 1-0 throughout the rest of the first half. USA got on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute as senior Rebecca Kahn scored her first goal of the season with an assist from junior Jen Beckwith to knot the game at one a piece.
