MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball (9-17, 2-13) will face Texas State (11-15, 7-8) for the Jaguars' road finale at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday at Strahan Arena in San Marcos, Texas.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 5-16 against the Bobcats, their last meeting a 69-63 loss on Feb. 12, 2026, at the Mitchell Center. Four Jaguars scored in double-figures, including Diawna-Carter Hartley, who recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama travels to San Marcos after an 84-73 loss to Troy on Wednesday. Two Jaguars recorded double-doubles, the first time since the 2023-24 season.
- Amyah Sutton ranked seventh in the nation last week in three-point attempts, totaling 21.
- Over the past three games, Chrysta Narcisse has averaged 9.0 rebounds, 1.3 turnovers and 10.0 points across 35.9 minutes per game.
- Among Cordasia Harris, Diawna Carter-Hartley and Daniela Gonzalez, the Jaguars have totaled 15 double-doubles this season.
SCOUTING THE BOBCATS:
- Texas State hosts the Jaguars after a 75-61 loss to Arkansas State on Wednesday. Kyra Anderson recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds, tallying her eighth double-double of the season.
- Among the Bobcats' roster is Amyria Walker, who played for the Jaguars during the 2024-25 season. During her time in Mobile, Walker averaged 20.8 minutes and 9.4 points per game.
- Sophomore guard Saniya Burks leads the Sun Belt in free-throw percentage, averaging 87.0%.
