MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball (9-16, 2-12) will face Troy (21-5, 12-2) on the road at 6 p.m. CST on Wednesday at Trojan Arena in Troy, Ala.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 25-38 against the Trojans, their last meeting an 86-71 loss on Feb. 22, 2025, at the Mitchell Center.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama travels to Troy after a 57-54 loss to Louisiana on Saturday. Chrysta Narcisse and Alicia Spann both tallied career highs in rebounding, grabbing 17 and 11, respectively.
- Narcisse's 17 rebounds on Saturday were the most grabbed in a single game by a guard all season. She also ranked 14th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game last week, averaging 10.5.
- Daniela Gonzalez was recently named to the watch list for the 2026 Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship, a part of the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships.
- Last week, Amyah Sutton ranked seventh in the nation in three-point attempts, totaling 21.
SCOUTING THE TROJANS:
- Troy hosts South Alabama after an 82-80 victory over ULM on Saturday. Two Trojans had double-doubles, including Fortuna Ngnawo (24 points & 11 rebounds) and Zay Dyer (14 points & 14 rebounds).
- Among the 13 members of Troy's roster is Rachel Leggett, who played three seasons for South Alabama (2022-25). Leggett led the Jaguars in points per game (13.13), steals (44), double-doubles (4), field-goals made (160) and free throws (71).
- The Trojans sit in first place in the Sun Belt, with notable wins over Arkansas State and Marshall.
