MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball (9-15, 2-11) will host Louisiana (3-22, 1-13) at 2 p.m. CST on Saturday at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Ala. A Jaguar win would give the program its first 10-win season in five years.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 42-24 against the Ragin' Cajuns, their last meeting an 81-55 Jaguar victory on Jan. 3, 2026, at the Mitchell Center.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama takes on Louisiana after a 69-63 loss to Texas State on Thursday. Diawna Carter-Hartley recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds.
- The Jaguars have totaled 13 double-doubles this season. Cordasia Harris leads the team with 10, and Carter-Hartley has three.
- Against the Bobcats on Thursday, Chrysta Narcisse scored 13 points with no turnovers in 36 minutes of playing time.
- Alicia Spann has shown impressive playing time over the past two weeks, tying her career highs in scoring once and rebounding twice.
SCOUTING THE RAGIN' CAJUNS:
- Louisiana travels to Mobile after a 16-point loss to Troy on Thursday, 71-55.
- Four Cajuns are averaging double figures for the season, including Mikaylah Manley (12.44), Imani Daniel (11.91), Amijah Price (11.16) and Jazmyne Jackson (11.00).
- Garry Brodhead is in his 14th season at the helm, boasting a .518 win-loss percentage (218-203).
