MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama women's basketball (8-6, 1-3) will host Arkansas State (13-3, 4-0) for the program's Sun Belt home opener at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Ala.

SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 15-47 against the Red Wolves, their last matchup resulting in a 74-61 deficit earlier this season in Jonesboro, Ark.

SCOUTING THE JAGS:

• South Alabama hosts the Red Wolves after an 81-56 victory over Louisiana on Saturday, the team's first Sun Belt victory of the season.
• Chrysta Narcisse scored a career-high 18 points against the Ragin' Cajuns, shooting 5-for-6 from the field, 4-for-5 from downtown and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
• The Jaguars currently rank 14th nationally in three-point percentage defense, only allowing their opponents a 24.7 three-point percentage.
• Cordasia Harris continues to turn heads at the national level, ranking 10th in double-doubles (7) and 11th in offensive rebounds per game (4.3).

SCOUTING THE RED WOLVES:

• A-State travels to Mobile after a 4-0 start to league play, including a notable road win against Southern Miss on New Year's Day, 91-83. The Red Wolves also have notable wins over Houston (11/28) and Arkansas (12/28).
• The Red Wolves have also made an impression on the national stage, leading the nation in three-point attempts per game (34.3) and ranking fourth in three-pointers per game (10.2).
• Arkansas State's backcourt is turning heads, averaging 27.75 forced turnovers per game and 15.3 steals per game.
