MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Men's Tennis got off to a fast start Friday by defeating Southern, 7-0, to open the 2026 campaign.
The victory moved South to 1-0 on the season.

- Friday's win marked the fifth-straight season opening win for the Jaguars.

"We saw some good stuff and we saw some stuff we need to work on. It's always good to have a match like this where you get all the nerves out. Some guys did a great job from start to finish. They didn't take their foot off the gas. Some guys were up and down, but you expect that sometimes on the first match of the year. Overall, it was a good day getting ready for the rest of the season."
