• Offensively, the Jags were led by the trio of
Sarah Gooch (15),
Cambria Gaier (14) and
Eva Dittmar (13) who combined for 42 kills during the opening weekend of play
• Gaier also had five aces last weekend, and ranks third in the Sun Belt as she is averaging 0.71 aces per set
• On the defensive side of the net, South leads the Sun Belt with 2.86 blocks per set after the opening weekend of play

A QUICK LOOK AT CHIPPEWAS
• Central Michigan (1-2) opened up the season with a 3-1 victory, but dropped its next two matches, falling in four sets to both then-19th-ranked BYU in Provo and Farleigh Dickenson at the doTERRA Classic
• Taylor Cripe leads the Chippewas offensively with 2.92 kills per set, while on the defensive side of the net, Abby Olin recorded 11.0 blocks over the weekend
• Olin, Natalia Rejment and Grace Thomas were named to the Preseason all-MAC team, and with three honorees, the Chippewas had the most of any team in the conference
• Central Michigan was picked to finish third out of 12 teams in the Mid-American Conference

A QUICK LOOK AT THE CYCLONES
• Iowa State (2-0) picked up a pair of straight-set sweeps over Bucknell and Ohio at the Bobcat Invite in Athens, Ohio, during the opening weekend of play
• Pam McCune led the Cyclones offensively with 3.33 kills per set, while Tierney Jackson and Lilly Wacholz averaged nearly three kills a set
• Jackson is also averaging 1.50 blocks per set and has nine total blocks
• Maya Duckworth was named preseason all-Big 12 after totaling 215 kills, 109 digs, 30 blocks and 11 aces as a junior during the 2024 season

• Milwaukee (0-2) was swept by Omaha in both its matches during the opening weekend of play
• Natalie Schmitz, a second-team all-conference selection a year ago, leads the club on offense with 2.83 kills per set
• Kara Erdmann – the Horizon League Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team all-conference selection in 2024 – paces the Panthers in the defensive back court with nearly five digs per set (4.83 dps)
