MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Soccer recorded a 4-1 victory over Coastal Carolina on Thursday at The Cage. The Jags were led by
Andrea Iljkic, who recorded a brace by scoring two goals within a minute of each other.
KEY MOMENTS:
- 4' | Andrea Iljkic scored a lefty goal from assists by Aliya Gomes and K.J. Straub.
- 5' | The Jaguar defense pressured a Chanticleer transition, causing Ava Matherne to gain possession for the Jags. Matherne then sent the ball to Andrea Iljkic, who then tapped the ball into the net, marking Iljkic's first career brace.
- 20' | Amelia Campanella sent a deep ball to Aliya Gomes, who then faked out a defender to send a left-footed strike into the goal. The assist marked Campanella's first of her career.
- 33' | Coastal Carolina recorded a goal off a penalty kick.
- 41' | Sofia Ferrante took the ball from a Chanticleer defender. She then found Sydney Magliocca in the box, who then scored, recording her first career goal.

- The Jags are 2-0 in conference play, tying them for first in the Sun Belt rankings with Georgia State.
- With tonight's brace, Andrea Iljkic now leads the Jags with five goals, 12 points and 11 shots on goal for the season. Aliya Gomes and Zamiyah Hill come behind Iljkic with three goals.
- Sofia Ferrante recorded another assist tonight, marking her fifth of the season.
- Sierra Giorgio is ranking highly in the Sun Belt, tying for first in shutouts (3) and ranking second in goals against average (.926).
