MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Tennis is set to kick off the team's fall slate on Friday as it travels to Birmingham, Ala., to compete in the Samford Round Robin.

Tournament play will begin on Friday, Sept. 19, and will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The Jags return several quality players in Kenza Elakili, Rio Maeda, Jade Marie, Cristina Tchanichev and Manal Ennaciri. The Jags welcome two newcomers – Ava Rath and Jana Rovira.

South Alabama is coming off another successful season in which they went 14-6 overall while achieving a 7-4 record in Sun Belt play. The Jags posted an undefeated record at home, going 8-0 for the 2024-25 campaign.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:
Friday, Sept. 19:

• Doubles vs. Samford – 10 a.m.
• Singles vs. Jacksonville State – 11 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 20:

• Doubles vs. Troy – 10 a.m.
• Singles vs. Samford – 1 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 21:

• Doubles vs. Jacksonville State – 10 a.m.
• Singles vs. Troy – 11 a.m.
