GAINESVILLE, Fla. – South Alabama Women's Basketball (6-2) will face Florida (8-2) in a road-tilt at 2 p.m. EST on Sunday at Exactech Arena at the Stephen O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla.

SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 3-6 against the Gators, their last result an 85-33 loss on Nov. 11, 2016, in Jacksonville, Fla.

SCOUTING THE JAGS:

• South Alabama travels to Gainesville after an 82-80 loss at Louisiana Tech on Thursday. Amyah Sutton had a 23-point game, and Cordasia Harris recorded her second double-double of the season (17 points and 10 rebounds).
• The Jaguars are seeking their first win against an SEC opponent since 2018, when they beat Alabama on the road 72-67 on Nov. 5.
• For the fourth consecutive week, the Jaguars rank in the top-10 nationally in three-point percentage (10th), averaging 38.9% from downtown.
• Daniela Gonzalez ranks third nationally in three-point percentage. This is the second week this season in which she has ranked within the top five.
• The Jaguars rank 117th in the NET Rankings, nearing their program-high of 107th, set earlier this week.

SCOUTING THE GATORS:

• The Gators face the Jaguars after a 68-64 loss to Virginia Tech in the SEC/ACC Challenge on Thursday. Before Thursday's tilt, Florida defeated Memphis and Georgia Tech in the Grand Cayman Classic on Nov. 28 and 30, respectively.
• Liv McGill continues to turn heads, averaging 26.75 points per game and totaling 45 assists and 31 steals for the season. McGill was also named the Most Outstanding Player of the Grand Cayman Classic.
