MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball (6-3) will return to the Mitchell Center to host North Alabama (5-3) in the program's non-conference finale at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 4-3 against the Lions, their last meeting a 71-62 deficit on Nov. 15, 2024, in Florence, Ala.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama returns to Mobile after a two-game road trip, stumbling against Louisiana Tech and Florida on Thursday and Sunday, respectively.
- Cordasia Harris seeks to reach 1,000 career points on Sunday, spanning across four seasons in the NCAA. Harris also comes into the game recording back-to-back double-doubles over the past two games.
- The Jaguars continue to have success beyond the arc, ranking 12th nationally in three-point percentage and 19th in three-point percentage defense.
SCOUTING THE LIONS:
- North Alabama travels to Mobile after a thrilling overtime win at Samford on Sunday (12/7). Two players recorded double-doubles, including Venla Ulander, who went 4-for-4 from downtown.
- Two Lions average double-figures in scoring – Sofia Ceppellotti (12.00 PPG) and Alexsandra Alvarado (10.38 PPG).
- Head Coach Candi Whitaker is in her second season with the Lions, going 13-17 in her inaugural year.
