Quotable – head coach Jesse Ortiz
- On the match: "Arkansas State came out with a lot of energy and really came at us. I didn't feel like we responded as well as we could have. I thought our team played hard, but against a team like Arkansas State, you have to be efficient as well. Kudos to them. They're a great team on the west side of the Sun Belt. I'm really proud of my plyers, especially our seniors, for playing as hard as they could and trying to get after it. There are better days ahead for us. We're looking forward to our final series at Coastal Carolina and of course the Sun Belt Conference tournament."
