MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball will return to Our City to host Memphis at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, Ala.
SERIES HISTORY:
The Jaguars are 2-1 against the Tigers, their last result a 50-55 deficit on Dec. 9, 2009, at the Mitchell Center.
SCOUTING THE JAGS:
- South Alabama enters Tuesday's matchup after a dominant road win over UAB on Saturday, 91-68. It was the first road win over the Blazers since 2003 and the first overall since 2008.
- Amyah Sutton led the team with 19 points and two steals. Sutton was one of the four Jaguars to shoot above 50 percent from the field (min. five attempts).
- The Jags recorded 26 assists against the Blazers, a program-best since at least 2013.
- Diawna Carter-Hartley went an impressive 4-4 from beyond the arc against UAB, a personal best.
- Multiple Jaguars recorded career-highs at Saturday's game, including Daniela Gonzalez (seven assists), Chrysta Narcisse (six assists), Diawna Carter-Hartley (four three-pointers) and Ronaltha Marc (three three-pointers).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
- Memphis continues on the road after a close win at Little Rock on Friday, 64-62. Three on the team recorded double figures in scoring.
- Chae Harris has been a commanding presence for the Tigers, averaging 16 points per game. Daejah Richmond is not far behind her, averaging 15 points per game.
- The Tigers retained two from last year's squad and welcome 10 newcomers.
