Anna Loberg was selected as the SBC Setter of the Week for the second-straight week
• Her 9.15 assists per set against league foes is second-most among setters and South's .269 hitting percentage leads the Sun Belt, while the Jaguars are also second in kills (14.00 per set) and tied with James Madison for top honors in points (18.35 per set)
• South Alabama's offense has been led by the attack duo of
Sarah Gooch (3.33 kps) and
Cambria Gaier (3.21 kps)
• Gooch ninth in the Sun Belt in kills, while Gaier is tied for 10th in the category
• Gaier has led the club offense five of her last six matches, and the freshman leads South with 36 aces and is second in the Sun Belt with 0.44 aces per set

SERIES NOTES VS. JAMES MADISON
• South Alabama and James Madison have met six previous times in the all-time series, and all of them have come over the past three seasons
• The Jaguars hold a 4-2 advantage in those meetings, and prior to last season's series sweep in Harrisonburg, each team had held serve on its home floor
• South took the series opener, 3-2 (25-23, 28-26, 13-25, 18-25, 15-9) and then closed out the series with a 3-1 (30-28, 15-25, 25-23, 26-24) victory
• In the series opener,
Abryanna Cannon recorded her sixth-straight double-double with 18 kills and 12 digs, and
Sarah Gooch also finished in double figures with 13 kills of her own and three aces

Maradith O'Gorman and Blackwell each chipped in with 11 kills, while Blackwell posted a .500 hitting percentage
• In the series finale, Gooch recorded a career-high 22 kills and Cannon posted her seventh-straight double-double (18 kills and 10 digs) to lead South Alabama to its fifth-straight conference series sweep
• Loberg just missed a double-double of her own with a career-best 55 assists and nine digs, while Wilson posted her fourth 20-dig match of the fall with 21 in the win
A QUICK LOOK AT THE DUKES
• James Madison (16-6, 9-1 SBC) enters series versus the Jags leading the SBC East Division
• Last weekend, the Dukes recorded a series sweep over Georgia Southern, taking a pair of five-set decisions over the Eagles
• JMU is led offensively by SBC Player of the Year candidate Kennedy Louisell, who was named the league's player of the week for the fifth time on Tuesday, as well as the AVCA National Player of the Week
• Louisell is ranks second in the nation and is averaging a Sun Belt-best 5.29 kills per set, and also leads the league in points (5.79) and ranks sixth in hitting percentage (.342)
• Defensively, Ayen Nhial is third in the league in blocks, averaging 1.25 per set, while Julia McNeley is sixth in digs (4.12)
• McNeley, ranks right behind South Alabama's
Briana Wilson in digs in SBC matches in digs, and was named the SBC Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday
• As a team, James Madison leads the conference in points (18.11), hitting percentage (.272), assists (13.41) and kills (14.28)
• JMU also ranks in the Top 25 nationally in assists (eighth), kills per set (12th), hitting percentage (22nd)
• The Dukes lead the SBC in opponents' aces allowing just 1.08 per set
