• South Alabama (12-7, 7-1 SBC) enters the SBC series Louisiana coming off a series sweep of Southern Miss, one in which South didn't drop a set
• For their play in the series with the Golden Eagles,
Briana Wilson (Defensive Player of the Week) and
Anna Loberg (Setter of the Week) were both honored by the Sun Belt Conference on Tuesday
• Wilson was outstanding in the defensive back court in the series as she recorded 42 digs and averaged 7.00 digs per set
• The senior libero has 48 sets of four or more digs in a set, including 24 of six or more this fall
• Wilson is averaging 4.54 digs per set, which ranks third in the league and in conference play, she has been even better, raising that average to 4.71 per set, which is second-most in league play
• Loberg averaged 13.50 assists per set as the Jaguars picked up a pair of 3-0 victories in their series sweep of Southern Miss
• South Alabama's offense has been led by the attack duo of
Sarah Gooch (3.39 kps) and
Cambria Gaier (3.15 kps)
• Gooch is tied for eighth in the Sun Belt in kills and seventh in points (3.89)
• In SBC action, Gooch is averaging just under four kills per set (3.71), which is fourth most among offensive players
• In conference play, Gooch holds a .338 hitting percentage - seventh - and is also fourth in the league in points with 4.34 per set against conference foes
• Gaier has led the club offense each of the last four matches, and the freshman leads South with 29 aces and is fifth in the Sun Belt with 0.40 aces per set
• In SBC play, Gaier is averaging 3.45 kills per set, which is fourth most

• Louisiana (11-7, 3-5 SBC) enters series versus the Jags after splitting its home series with Troy over the weekend
• The Trojans took the series opener, 3-1, but the Ragin' Cajuns bounced back to sweep Troy in the finale
• Cailin Demps ranks sixth in the Sun Belt in kills 3.51 per set, who is also eighth in the league in points (3.88)
• Chelsea Gilmore is fourth in the conference with a .371 hitting percentage
• Defensively, Kennedy Gustafson is fifth in digs (4.12) and Lindsey Henry is tied for eighth in blocks (1.05)
A QUICK LOOK AT THE RAGIN' CAJUNS
• South Alabama and Louisiana have met 61 previous times in the all-time series, and all of them have been in regular-season league play
• Louisiana holds a 36-25 series advantage in those meetings, but South Alabama has won seven-straight coming into the weekend match up
