MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball Head Coach
Yolisha Jackson announced Tuesday the addition of transfer Saneea Bevley to the Jaguar roster, who comes to Mobile after two years at McLennan Community College in Waco,Texas.
Bevley, a guard from Kansas City, Missouri had an impressive 2023-24 campaign, averaging a team high 18.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Bevley proved to be a major contributor for the Highlanders, starting in 14 of 15 games. In a win against CCBX-Essex, Bevley scored a career high 33 points off a stellar 12-21 shooting while also going 7-14 from three.
In her freshman season Bevley averaged 14.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. She started 31 of 33 games for the Highlanders and scored a season high 29 points in a win against Blinn College while also contributing with five rebounds and five assists. In that same year, Bevley ranked fifth in all of the NJCAA with 107 threes made in the season. The Kansas City native was recognized as an NTJCAC First-Team All-Conference selection, NJCAA Region V All-Region selection, an NJCAA Division I Honorable Mention All-American, and NJCAA All-Star.
Prior to her collegiate career, Bevley played at Blue Springs High School, where she averaged 15.5 points and became a member of the 1000 points club. Bevley also holds the school record for most threes in a game.
