MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Athletics has announced the Jag Gals Bobby Marks Memorial Scholarship, in loving memory of Robert "Bobby" Marks, B.S. 1971.

The Jag Gals Bobby Marks Memorial Scholarship was established in April 2024 to honor Bobby's legacy at the University of South Alabama.

Bobby, a professional pilot, dedicated his time to benefit USA by serving as president of the Jaguar Athletic Club 2005-2006 and the Jaguar Athletic Fund 2007-2010, was on the JAF board of directors 14 years, was a member of the leadership team for Campaign USA: Leadership, and a volunteer for the Mitchell-Moulton Scholarship Initiative. Bobby and his wife Gerry, lifelong members of the USA National Alumni Association, were recognized with its Distinguished Service Award in 2014. The Jag Gals leadership committee established the fund in Bobby's honor to recognize his support of Gerry, his wife and Jag Gals Director of 8 years.
