South Alabama travels to Southern Miss for final road match

MOBILE, Ala. – The Jaguars hit the road for the last time of the regular season, traveling to Southern Miss for a match in Hattiesburg on Saturday at 10 a.m.
 
South is 13-4 on the year following a 2-0 weekend, beating App State and Marshall. Following the perfect weekend, the Jaguars jumped into the ITA rankings, coming in at No. 74.  
 
Jaguars have won all nine home matches this year, with all four losses being on the road.
 
Elysia Pool leads the Jaguar squad with 14 wins this season, all from number two singles, and was named the Sun Belt Women's Tennis Player of the Week, following a 2-0 weekend in singles.
 
At the number one spot, Tereza Dejnozkova has 11 wins. The doubles duo of Pool and Dejnozkova are 12-4 so far this season, all from the number one spot.
 
Southern Miss is 4-12 this season and has lost eight in a row, with their last win being a 4-1 defeat of Alcorn State on March 2.
 
South Alabama holds a 25-1 advantage over the Golden Eagles, with the lone loss coming in 2021.
