South Alabama went 1-1 over the weekend, falling at Arkansas State before earning its first conference win of the season at Texas State on Saturday. The Jaguars broke a 12-game losing streak and it was first year head coach
Yolisha Jackson's first Sun Belt Conference win.

Kelsey Thompson matched a career-high 27 points in the win over Texas State, totaling a career-high 11 made field goals.

James Madison is 16-7 on the year and 8-3 in conference play, going 1-1 last week in conference action. The Dukes fell to Georgia State before beating an undefeated Marshall squad on Saturday.

Eastern Michigan is 5-15 this season, going 2-8 in MAC games. The Eagles have lost five in a row, and will play conference opponent Akron on Wednesday before welcoming in the Jaguars for the second round of the MAC-SBC Challenge.

The Jaguars won their first game of the scheduling alliance, beating Central Michigan 77-55, while Eastern Michigan fell 58-82 to Georgia Southern.
