MOBILE, Ala. – After almost two weeks off due to canceled matches, the Jaguars return to action this weekend with a road to the Sunshine State for three matches.
South Alabama will open the weekend slate with a match at Stetson on Friday at 9 a.m., before taking on Florida Atlantic on Saturday at 9 a.m. South Alabama will close the weekend with a neutral site match against Air Force on Sunday at 9 a.m. in Fort Myers.
South Alabama sits at 3-1 on the year, with their lone loss coming at the hands of No. 14 Auburn. All three wins for the Jaguars have been 7-0 sweeps over their opponents.
Stetson is 2-4 on the season, with wins over Bethune-Cookman and Mercer. The Hatters are coming off a 3-4 loss against South Florida last weekend.
Florida Atlantic is 6-1 on the year and is riding a six-match winning streak, with wins over North Texas and USF last weekend in AAC action. Following a 2-0 weekend, freshman Panna Bartha was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Air Force is 1-4 this season with their lone win coming over Abilene Christian. The squad will take on Florida Gulf Coast and Army because they face off with the Jaguars on Sunday.
South Alabama and Stetson will be meeting for the first time, while South looks to get its first win over Florida Atlantic since 2011. South Alabama and Air Force are meeting for just the second time, with the last being a 7-2 win for the Jags in 1991.
