MOBILE, Ala. – After over a week off since their opening match, the Jaguar women's tennis is back in action Sunday, hosting Florida A&M at 11 a.m. at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Tennis Courts.
 
South Alabama opened its season on Jan. 18 with a 7-0 sweep over West Alabama, where the Jaguars dropped just one set. South claimed all three doubles matches, as well as all six singles wins.
 
Florida A&M opens their season Saturday afternoon, with a match at Southern Miss. The Rattlers are coming off a 11-12 season, that saw the squad win the 2023 SWAC Championship and make an NCAA Regionals appearance.
 
The Rattlers return seven players from the championship squad, and added one freshman.
 
South Alabama is coming off an 18-6 2023 season, going 7-4 in conference play and a perfect 10-0 at home.
 
South Alabama is 4-0 against the Rattlers, with the last meetings between the squads being a 6-1 win for the Jaguars in 2001.
 
All home tennis matches will be at the Bruce David Lubel Memorial Courts and admission is free.
