AUBURN, Ala. | Hugo Thyr hits the course Monday morning, teeing off at 9:50 Monday morning as one of ten individuals in the Auburn Regional.
Thyr will be playing with Brody Yates of Siena and Killian McGinley of Fairfield in the 11th grouping of the regionals, teeing off on hole number one.
The tournament will be held at Auburn University Club May 15-17, and will play 7,560 yards and will be a par-72. The field includes Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Auburn, Colorado State, Ohio State, Washington, TCU, Chattanooga, Houston, Marquette, Indiana, Augusta, and Siena. Thyr is joined by Alex Goff (Kentucky), Brantley Scott (Troy), Erik Jansson (Jacksonville State), Tobias Jonsson (Mercer), Cameron Clarke (Southern Miss), Brian Ma (Harvard), Jackson Skeen (Tennessee Tech), Luke Naglie (Arkansas State), and McGinley.
The regional is one of six 54-hole tournaments that will be conducted during the three-day period with the top five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional advancing to the finals. Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 26-31 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale (Ariz.).
