AUBURN, Ala. | South Alabama returns to the course for the first time in nearly a month when they open first round play in the 11th annual Tiger Invitational hosted by Jason Dufner at Grand National in Opelika on Sunday. The tournament will run through the third round on Tuesday.
The Jags return to the course for the first time since
Will Skipp and
Jack Hearn each finished in the top 15 in the Hal Williams Intercollegiate helping South Alabama to a 12th place finish back on Valentine's Day weekend. They will be paired with North Alabama and Troy in the opening round teeing off at 9:50 am and will send Hearn, Skipp,
Eli Mitchell,
Hugo Thyr and
Jordan Plunkett into action.
They will face a field that includes the host and No. 7 Auburn, Chattanooga, East Carolina, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Oakland, North Alabama, Richmond, Toledo, Troy, Southern Miss, Stetson, UNC Wilmington, and Wichita State.
